Have you been eye-ing the new iPhone 3G wistfully, wishing it was just a little cheaper?
If you're anything like me, you have - and I think I have found a solution!
By now, you must have seen link all over the web advertising Free* iPhones. Most people who come across these think that they are scams. They are NOT. The most commonly known of htese is Transcendent Innovations (TRAINN), however most work in a similar way.
How Do These Sites Work?
It's pretty simple, really.
1)You sign up, and choose the gift you would like to receive.
2) You complete Offers. "What are 'Offers'?" I hear you ask. Well offers can be anything from free trials of products to signing up for a website. The companies pay the free iPhone site each time they get someone to sign up for them etc. With the revnue from this they can afford to supply the free gifts - iPhone, PSP etc.
3) You refer friends to join the site. Generally the amount of friends you refer varies depending on the gift you have chosen. To receive credit for these referrals, each breferral generally has to sign up and complete one offer.
4) You wait! Your free gift is on it's way!
There you go! That is how the most common sites work, however there are some around where you only have to complete offers OR you only have to refer people.
There is however, one problem - especially for Australian residents!
The thing is, most of the sites around either do not ship to Australia, or no offers that it is possible to complete in Australia. However, I am compiling a list of sites suitable for Australian and/or worldwide residents starting with my personal favourite:

They provide you with three options of how to do this.
- Option (1) - Complete offers! Xpango have a variety of offers, most of which are free trials or website sign ups, that you can complete, that are worth between 1 and 4 credits towards your gift.
- Option (2) - Refer friends! YOu are give a referral ID an URL upon sign up and have the opportunity at any time to send emails to your friends asking them to sign up on your behalf - it also means they get a chance at a free gift, too! ;]
- Option (3) - Purchase Clix! Okay, I'll be honest with you - I'm not quite sure what these are, but with every purchase you receive one credit! :D
